The health department has approved the opening of the facilities. Facilities will be open beginning Thursday, September 27 at normal hours, 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Enjoy!
The health department was by today to inspect the facilities; they will not allow us to reopen unless we fence off the wader pool entirely (this is a new requirement). We have scheduled fencing to be delivered and installed on Monday. Once installed they will schedule another inspection of the facilities.
We apologize for any inconvenience. The construction of the splash park is moving along. The footings and some features have been installed, next is pipe installation. We have included pictures of the progress below.

IMPORTANT NOTICE Due to unforeseen circumstances, including a broken sewer line that had to be replaced on an emergency basis and cutting of the sidewalks/asphalt to run new lines, the facilities have been shut down until final City/Health Department approval is obtained. Since the facilities are off limits until approval is granted, we have been forced to cancel the event scheduled for this Saturday, September 15 and postpone the Board Meeting scheduled for this Monday, September 17. A new date for the event will be provided to all via a separate mailer. The Board Meeting has been postponed until October 15 at 6:30 pm. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. The facilities are almost open. The areas have been back filled and new concrete poured. We currently await the inspection by the City/Health Department in order to be able to open. Please keep visiting this site for up to date information.
Thank you for your patience! Below please find the entry dated August 23, 2018 in the court's docket relating to the legal matter. The court denied the Defendants’ request to remove the judge for bias. The court denied this request without explanation.
Attached please find a copy of the court minute order granting the Association's preliminary injunction on August 24, 2018 against Melvin Robbins, Tyrone Harris, Victor Beecham and Toxi Dixon.
The facilities (park, lake and playground) will be closed due to emergency repairs. Due to the repairs, a trench has been dug to the street through the parking lot and park area. For safety reasons, the facilities are closed. We hope to reopen sometime the week of 9/10/18. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience. |
